Autumn in The Smoky Mountains
October 24th - 27th, 2019, Townsend, Tenn. Instructors - Tom Croce & Robert Coomer
Join us in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park for 3 days of photographing the beautiful colors of autumn. We will spend several hours each day, as long as the light allows, shooting the landscapes located in and around Cades Cove, Tremont, Roaring Fork, just to name a few. The exact location and subjects will be determined by the weather.
In order to insure the maximum amount of personal attention the number of participants for this workshop is limited to 12. Participants should have a strong understanding of exposure and know how to operate your camera.
Each day's schedule will vary depending on the weather, but in general we will be photographing all day. This will be hands on learning and all questions and issues will be addressed in the field. General Itinerary - Plan to arrive on October 24th in Townsend, Tenn. We will meet for a quick dinner, Q&A and orientation. After which we will head out to shoot a sunset. The remaining days we will be heading out approx. 1-1/2 hour before sunrise, shoot until late afternoon when we will take a break for an early dinner, before heading out for the evening session. One afternoon we will spend discussing and demonstrating post processing, and a photo critique.
This workshop will require a moderate amount of hiking over rough, uneven terrain. Participants should be comfortable with their ability to negotiate a hike of up to a two miles over rough, uneven and at time steep terrain.
The fee for this workshop is $500.00 and is for instruction only. All other expenses, including travel, accommodations and meals are the responsibility of the participants. A block of room are reserved at the Highland Manor Inn in Townsend, Tenn.
